Pre-registration is $15 through June 11, $18 after June 12. Registration for Washington Hospital employees and immediate family members is $7.50. Registration is available 7 a.m.-8:30 a.m. on June 17 at Falconi Field. The entry fee is non-refundable. Packet pick-up and registration available on Friday, June 16, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Washington Hospital and Saturday, June 17, from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Falconi Field.
Course:
The 5K run and walk begins and ends in the parking area behind Falconi Field (Chestnut Street Exit off I-70 in Washington). From the parking area, proceed down the main road leading from the field and loop around Washington Crown Center mall, leading back to the main road to Falconi Field. It is a flat course with one minor uphill grade near the end of the course. The course surface is either paved asphalt or concrete and sufficient security will be on hand to ensure a safe and friendly environment.
| | Washington Walking Program Launch June 11, 2005 2005-06-06 | | | Washington County Health Partners, Inc. Community Wellness Task Force will launch Washington Walking(TM), a web-based program that helps users keep record and track miles walked(jogged), calories burned, health information, and much more. Washington Walking will hold the program launch on Saturday, June 11th at 10am at Falconi Field.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Community Wellness Task Force Chair The Honorable J. Bracken Burns will mark the launch. Other featured events include an exercise and safety presentation by Exercise Physiologist Tom Johnson of The Washington Hospital's Heart and Vascular Center, free pedometers (while supplies last), healthy refreshments, a walk, and a Washington Wild Things door prize.
